CASwell Appoints Exacta as European Distributor
12th March 2010, Exacta Technologies, the Bristol UK based manufacturer of customised network appliances has announced a strategic distribution partnership with the Taiwanese business IT appliance manufacturer, CASwell, Inc. Under the agreement Exacta will build, distribute and support CASwell’s range of communication and storage servers throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, with immediate effect.
CASwell, part of the global Portwell Group has developed a wide range of high performance network communication and storage appliances for use in major enterprise and public sector organisations as well as small to medium sized companies. Using the latest Intel and Cavium chip technology the CASwell range includes Linux based 1U and 2U rack-mount appliances, OEM add-on cards and specialist hardware accessories.
Exacta is the UK’s leading turnkey supplier of hardware platforms for a wide range of specialist business applications. Providing a bespoke manufacturing service Exacta builds, ships and supports customised appliances for many of the UK’s leading network security companies as well as handling special projects such as ruggedized, military-grade surveillance equipment. Products built by the company are used throughout the world performing critical IT network functions for major global enterprises and government departments.
Established in 2001, Exacta is one of select group of Intel Premier Partners in the UK, which gives them priority access to the leading chip manufacturer’s range of advanced high-speed processors and internal technical support services. This distribution agreement together with the special Intel relationship positions Exacta as one of Europe’s leading providers of customised appliance manufacturing services.
